The Blue Tansy: The Shape Shifter

Tanacetum annuum.

This powerful essential oil comes from a yellow flower native to Morocco. It turns a vivid inky blue colour during steam distillation.  Chamazulene is the compound responsible for it's fascinating transformation, and for the incredible benefits this amazing oil has for your skin.  They include: anti-inflammatory, anti-allergen, anti-fungal and anti-histamine affects.  But it is incredible for those of us with red, inflamed, highly sensitive and reactive skin.  It's antioxidants and anti -inflammatory properties are powerfully calming, heat reducing, soothing and is known to help with eczema and psoriasis. The scent is wonderfully herbaceous, reminiscent of chamomile but has hints of sage and icy mint.
Blue Tansy soothes, calms, and restores harmony  to troubled angry complexions and balances oily ones.  It is the star ingredient in our best selling Blue Flower Face Serum.  It is perfect for both am/pm use.

After cleansing press 2-3 pumps into the palm of your hand onto very damp skin.  Inhale for 3 to 5 seconds to experience the gentle delicious aromatherapy effects.  Massage gently all over your face, neck, and decolletage...paying extra attention around the eyes and mouth.
